Elizabeth Goldring introduces her new definitive biography of Hans Holbein the Younger who, more than any other, has shaped our image of the Tudor court.

Goldring breathes new life into Holbein’s story, from his early days in Augsburg and Basel, to his lasting impact on British art and culture.

During the talk she will explore some of Holbein’s most famous paintings, with particular emphasis on the collection at The National Gallery, including The Ambassadorsand Christina of Denmark.
